  • COMPOSITION

    Each film coated caplet contains:

    Active ingredient: Loratadine 10 mg.

    INDICATIONS

    It is used for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis including sneezing, nasal discharge and itching as well as ocular itching and burning; chronic idiopathic urticaria and other allergic dermatological disorders.

    DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

    Adults and children from 12 years old and older: take 1 caplet daily.

    Children from 2 to 12 years old and over 30 kg body weight: take 1 caplet daily.

    Children from 2 to 12 years old and under 30 kg body weight: take ½ caplet daily.

    Chlidren under 2 years old: consult a doctor.

    Patients with hepatic failure or mild renal insufficiency should be given 1 caplet on alternate days initially.

    Should be taken with meal or after meal.

    CONTRAINDICATIONS

    Patients with an allergic reaction to any ingredient of drug.

    WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS

    Do not use this product with any other products containing loratadine.

    Check with your doctor before use if you have any the following: hepatic failure or mild renal insufficiency, hives that do not itch or look unusual (bruised, blistered, or a strange color), elderly people, children under 2 years old, pregnancy and lactation.

    Stop use and ask a doctor if: an allergic reaction to this product occurs, your symptoms do not improve after 3 days of treatment, the hives last more than 6 weeks.

    ADVERSE DRUG REACTIONS

    There are usual adverse reactions such as fatigue, headache, dizziness, somnolence, dry mouth.

    Gastrointestinal disorders such as nausea or gastritis, abdominal pain, conjunctivitis as well as allergic symptoms including rash and pruritus occur occasionally.

    Consult your physician in case of any adverse drug reaction.

    DRUG INTERACTIONS

    Loratadine is metabolised by cytochrome P450. Therefore concomitant use with drugs known to inhibit these enzymes including cimetidine, erythromycin, ketoconazole, quinidine, fluconazole, and fluoxetine may result in an increase in plasma concentrations of loratadine.
